PLOT SUMMARY
Two friends, Grace and Esther, attend a neighborhood shiva for the social opportunities it affords them. While critiquing the food, they discuss aging, grief, and mortality. The play is also an exploration of friendship, loss, how people navigate life’s final stages, and what makes the perfect kugel.
